Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Thurrock
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Service: 4-Bed Home

Spring Care Group Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team at our 4-bed Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Thurrock.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people. You will lead by example, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations, and creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the home.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of residential support workers.
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Develop and implement individual care plans.
• Contribute to inspections, audits, and continuous service improvement.
• Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to enrol).
• Experience working in a children’s residential setting, ideally within an EBD service.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
